St James' Church running costs in the early 1920s

This file gives a splendid view of the day-to-day running expenses of the church circa 1920. There is a laarge collection of bills, invoices, slips of paper for 'Organ Blowing,' Washing Surplices, Firewood, Mowing the grass, etc.

There is also a separate envelope in this file that contains some representative examples of payments to Sanatoriums and providing homes for Waifs & Strays. And also some prayer notes for times of War.
