Victory in Europe 1945 - Poster

Victory in Europe was celebrated with bonfires across the land and Shrivenham was no exception. The text on the poster indicates that is from an anniversary celebration circa 1950 rather than the original day.

Also included in this listing is an official message to the school children of the whole country from King George VI, dated 8th June 1946. This is the copy sent to Shrivenham School. On the reverse is a list of important war dates.
