Major General John Cowtan

This listing is to record Major-General John Cowtan. He won two MC's and made a daring escape from a PoW camp, later proving an effective saboteur. His final appointments were those of Deputy Quartermaster-General at the MOD and Commandant of the Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham, before he retired from the Army in 1975. He was advanced to CBE in 1970. He passed away at the age of 89.
