Liddington Water Mills

Historically there were two water mills within the village of Liddington in north Wiltshire. The two were very close together at the top and bottom of a steep slope, and hence were called Upper and Lower Mill. Because of their close proximity, information could easly be confused, and this is what seems to have happened over the centuries. The existence of another mill about a mile to the north at Liddington Wick has also added to the general confusion. This listing is to try and make some sense of them in time and location.
