The White Horse looked down

This book is a little enigmatic in that we don't know exactly when it was written. The author is from the USA and clearly had some association with the military station at Shrivenham during World War II. It's based on factual events that took place during those years and gives an insight of the relationships that developed between the American servicemen and civilians. The dialogue seems to be from recollections either told to the author or possibly experienced first hand.
