Notes on Major Bruce Mitchell Taylor

Major Bruce Mitchell Taylor was the son of Henry & Sarah Katherine Mitchell Taylor of Longcott. In 1999 during research for the book, Longcot - a Village in the Vale, references were found to a highly decorated soldier killed in action in 1917. Intrigued that his name was missing from the Longcot War Memorial, Johanna Sienkiewicz began a detailed research into his background. In 2003 he was finally honoured and his name has been added to the memorial.
