Alec Chambers interview & Farewell tribute

Alec Chambers is something of a legend within the village of Shrivenham and district, and held in high esteem among the general population. He was 99 years of age on the 2nd June 2024, but sadly two weeks later, on the 15th, Alec passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side. He will be hugely missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

The story of his life can only be described as remarkable. This listing is to pay tribute and describe some of his exploits and also some of his memories of local people and events.
