The sale of 1888 was a big event after the death of Sarah Lawrence. She was the young wife of John Tucker and widowed when he died in 1856. She remarried William Farrow Lawrence and became widowed again when he died in 1872. Sarah died in 1887 at Bath. Her first husband John Tucker had left her all his estate in Bourton, and her death meant that it would all have to be sold. This file is the result of documents that were discovered in the Bourton House papers.
