This Journal was discovered by Tony Boyce from Herefordshire, within his father's papers. He had attended the RMCS after the War of 1939-45 as a student. It is in good condition and contains many interesting articles and advertisements.
The Neolithic Burial Chamber, known locally in the Vale of the White Horse as 'Wayland's Smithy,' is covered in some detail by J. Dumbrell. Another article is called, 'The Development of Shrivenham,' by R.T. Prescott, the then Chairman of the Shrivenham Parish Council. Another article is entitled, 'Shrivenham at the Turn of the Century.' And the last article is by F. Cochrane, called simply, 'Shrivenham,' and is desribed as an expansion of a talk given to the Women's Institute, Shrivenham.
